Concord Country Club’s “Hit The Links In Pink” Raises Funds for NHBCC

Concord, NH – On August 7, 2013, the Concord Country Club Women’s Association, with support from Concord Country Club members (men and women), friends and family, “hit the links” to raise $6,567.00 for the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition Support Services Fund.

The golf tournament, spearheaded by Jo Ann Feldman and a host of volunteers, included a broad range of unique raffle prizes and gifts and a 50/50 raffle, too.  It was a gorgeous New Hampshire day, not too hot, and the golfers, decked out in pink t-shirts, culminated their event with a buffet luncheon at the clubhouse.

“I was honored to join these women at the luncheon,” said NHBCC President Nancy Ryan, “and humbled by their efforts to support our work.”  The New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition Support Services Fund provides financial assistance to New Hampshire breast cancer patients who have exhausted all other means of support.  The fund provides help with the expenses of daily living, such as utilities, rent, transportation, medical co-pays, child care and medication, so patients can focus on getting well.

“We depend on community fundraisers like the Concord Country Club golf tournament to support our mission,” said Ryan.  “On behalf of our Board of Directions, I wish to thank Jo Ann Feldman and all the volunteers for making this a success.”
