Nashua NH resident Carolyn Choate Kayaks for Research

“River of Life” Kickoff of summer-long event at Nashua’s Millyard Technology Park near the Broad Street Parkway:  Saturday, May 13, 2017

This summer, breast cancer survivor and advocate Carolyn Choate of Nashua, NH, will embark on a unique and challenging kayak voyage to raise funds for breast cancer research. Carolyn’s trek is in honor of Dr. Angela Brodie, the woman whose work led to the discovery of aromatase inhibitors, a drug for women with estrogen-positive breast cancer, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine

Choate’s mission is to raise $500,000 to support an endowment being established as Dr. Brodie retires that will continue her research lab and further scientific research.
