New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition Board Of Directors Endorses Breast Cancer Deadline 2020
Lee, NH - Joining a growing constituency of organizations, the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition Board of Directors unanimously endorsed the National Breast Cancer Coalition's Breast Cancer Deadline 2020, an unparalleled new initiative to end breast cancer by January 1, 2020.
The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) launched Breast Cancer Deadline 2020 as a radical new approach to ending breast cancer by focusing on collaboration, information sharing, accountability and innovation. Breast Cancer Deadline 2020 is backed by a strategy that includes catalytic workshops, strategic summits and collaborative efforts with multi-disciplinary groups and stakeholders. The NBCC vision to end breast cancer by 2020 focuses on preventing the development and metastasis of breast cancer. Despite decades of private and public investment in breast cancer research, breast cancer incidence and mortality have not changed significantly. Breast Cancer Deadline 2020 will harness what we know about breast cancer and focus that knowledge on ending the disease.
"As a grassroots member organization of the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC), the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition is eager to help change the conversation from fighting breast cancer to ending breast cancer," according to NHBCC President Nancy Ryan. "Breast Cancer Deadline 2020 - a strategic, evidence-based approach to ending breast cancer - has renewed our sense of urgency about ending this disease for all women."
