Breast Cancer Survey: Awareness Does Not Mean Knowledge The National Breast Cancer Coalition released this month the results of a survey conducted during August 2007. Respondents included 1,004 women over the age of eighteen.
Among the highlights, the survey showed that most respondents considered themselves knowledgeable about breast cancer, but revealed a disturbing lack of knowledge about breast cancer facts and research funding.

The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) put this question before all presidential candidates and invited them to answer by sending a video with their plan to end breast cancer and written comments on NBCC's legislative priorities.

News from New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition

Great news! New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, joined on September 28, 2007 by Deputy Speaker of the House Linda Foster and members of the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition, proclaimed Friday, October 5th as Lee National Denim Day and October 2007 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in New Hampshire.
"Breast cancer has affected too many of our families here in New Hampshire. It is critical that we come together to raise awareness about detecting breast cancer early, when it is more treatable, and to support education and research on this important issue," Gov. Lynch said.

New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition Offers Free Resource Guide
(Lee, NH) - In keeping with its mission to provide information and resources on breast cancer for New Hampshire citizens, the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition (NHBCC) is pleased to offer the newly revised "2006 New Hampshire Breast Cancer Resource Guide."
The 109-page booklet is New Hampshire's only comprehensive breast cancer resource guide listing state, regional and national resources to help New Hampshire women and families find reliable breast cancer detection, treatment and recovery services.
