"Laurie's Ride 5" -- August 10, 2008
"Laurie's Ride 5," scheduled for Sunday, August 10, 2008, is a motorcycle ride to raise money for the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition's Support Services Fund. When Laurie Thiboutot of Nashua was diagnosed with breast cancer, her friends organized this ride to help her through the diagnosis. Now, Laurie and a dedicated group of her friends, many from the Fire & Iron Firefighters Motorcycle Club of Nashua, spearhead the event.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of "Laurie's Ride" and the second year that proceeds will benefit the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition Support Services Fund. The event will start at Nashua Harley-Davidson, Amherst Street in Merrimack, New Hampshire and cruise the scenic back roads of New Hampshire to the Seacoast and back.
Registration is $35 per driver, and $25 per passenger and includes a catered meal, live bands and prizes. "Step Forward To Fight Breast Cancer" -- September 13, 2008
"Step Forward To Fight Breast Cancer," scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2008, is an exciting new endeavor for NHBCC. We are delighted to partner with Mount Washington Resort to offer this special fundraising opportunity! New Hampshire's White Mountains and Mount Washington Resort provide a spectacular backdrop for this unique breast cancer fundraiser. While promoting health and raising awareness about breast cancer in the North Country, "Step Forward To Fight Breast Cancer" will offer walks of three different lengths, with an optional late afternoon BBQ. This event is suitable for all hiking abilities, families, groups, teams and individuals.
Registration is only $25 with a "commitment" to raise at least $150 in pledges. Raffle ticket eligibility will be based on monies raised, with "Top Fundraiser" awards. Sponsors and raffle prize donors for "Step Forward To Fight Breast Cancer" to date include:
