MANCHESTER, N.H. – U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) on Friday endorsed the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s (NBCC) “Breast Cancer Deadline 2020” – a national effort to end breast cancer by the year 2020. Representatives from the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition (NHBCC) joined Ayotte for a ceremony at her Manchester office, where she announced her support for the group’s important goal.

“We all personally know someone who has been impacted by breast cancer. And we all recognize the urgent importance of ending this tragic disease,” said Senator Ayotte. “For the sake of our mothers and grandmothers, our daughters, our aunts, and our friends, the effort to end breast cancer by the end of the decade is an important goal that should unite researchers, scientists, health care providers, survivors, and advocates.”

The NBCC was founded in 1991 with a mission to end breast cancer.  The Coalition believes that the tools, information, resources and wisdom currently exist to create a global strategy to end breast cancer by January 2020.

Founded in 1992, the New Hampshire chapter of the NBCC is a statewide, grassroots organization that advocates for and provides assistance to New Hampshire residents living with breast cancer.
