NHBCC's Legislative Alert Network enables grassroots activists to influence state and national breast cancer policy.
Yes, even as a non-profit organization, NHBCC is entitled to lobby. NHBCC sends out periodic Legislative Alerts enabling members to make a real difference on important state and national issues.
NHBCC also publishes a newsletter, "Raising our Voices" that includes information about state and national legislative issues.

Participated in the National Breast Cancer Coalition's (NBCC) national orchestrated call-in to urge leaders of the US Senate and House of Representatives to pass the "Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Act of 2000" (HR 4386). President Clinton signed this bill into law on October 24, 2000. |

Collaborated with the American Cancer Society, New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology, the Norris Cotton Cancer Center and the New Hampshire Women's Lobby to pass SB 409, state legislation that requires health insurance companies to cover the cost of routine care for patients enrolled in quality clinical trials. |
