In 1994 Pam wrote, "When I was preparing my oldest nephew, then 5, for my baldness, I assured him that it would be okay if he laughed as I might look pretty funny. Very seriously, he replied, 'Oh no, Aunt Pam, I won't laugh because it's not funny.'"
